FREE WALKING HISTORY TOURS OF WYCOMBE
AND FREE TALKS ON THE TOWN

HISTORY IS MADE IN WYCOMBE

'HISTORY TELLS YOU WHERE YOU ARE GOING AND WHY
HISTORY MAKES YOU SMART. HERITAGE MAKES YOU PROUD'
William Callaway, historian, US Eighth Air Force

Willie Reid hosts FREE walking tours around the historic town of High Wycombe.

Today many people might think High Wycombe lacks colour but this town almost certainly has a richer and more interesting history than any other in Buckinghamshire.

Willie is seen here in front of the Brunel Rail Shed on a walk in 2016 which included the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of High Wycombe.

The Dyke

The Guildhall

The guildhall, which was designed by Henry Keene in the neo-classical style, was built at the expense of the Earl of Shelburne, a local member of parliament, in 1757

Weighing the mayor

An annual event unique to the town.

Flying Scotsman

This iconic train is seen passing through High Wycombe Station

Milestone

Midway point between London and Oxford on the old turnpike road.

If you post a review for my walks or talks it will appear here

I really enjoyed my walk around Wycombe with Willie Reid. When you see High Wycombe today, you don't realise what a wealth of history the town has. I recommend the walk to anyone who loves the area. PH
